At Chesapeake Medical Imaging, we care about the health and safety of our patients, our employees and our community. We are following all recommendations made by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) regarding COVID-19. We are also following all current guidelines in accordance with the Maryland State Department of Health and Executive Orders issued by Governor, Larry Hogan.
We are taking extra precautions with the use of personal protective equipment in our sites as well as thorough sanitization of all contact surfaces and appropriate screening procedures.
Our current patient COVID-19 screening procedures ensure that at-risk patients are directed to their physicians or a hospital setting for appropriate evaluation. We are not equipped to serve patients with COVID-19 related symptoms but can help in redirecting them over the phone for testing and follow up in the appropriate settings. These practices are to ensure we play our part to flatten the COVID-19 curve in the state of Maryland.
Please review the below screening questions and recommendations before visiting our locations:
- Have you traveled outside of the United States or; from any COVID-19 high risk area in the United States in the past 14 days?
If yes, please stay home for 14 days after travel and reschedule your existing appointment. - If you or a family member has clinical symptoms consistent with COVID-19, but have not been tested for COVID-19, MD Health Department is advising you to self-isolate at home until:
- At least 3 days (72 hours) have passed since recovery defined as resolution of fever without the use of fever-reducing medications and improvement in respiratory symptoms (e.g., cough, shortness of breath); and,
- At least 7 days have passed since symptoms first appeared.
Do you currently have two of the three of the three symptoms:
- Cough
- Fever
- Shortness of breath
Should you have two of the three COVID-19 symptoms we ask that you call your doctor immediately and seek care and potential testing at an appropriate facility, you can call our local Health Department directly at 410-767-6500 for assistance.
COMING TO OUR OFFICES
Please allow additional time for your visit. Arriving a few minutes early would be appreciated, as we have updated our check-in process to include these several brief screening questions. We are taking patients for exams quickly to keep our waiting rooms empty and minimize contact with others. Guests accompanying patients are asked to wait in their car, for this reason please plan accordingly with small children. All of these are precautionary measures intended to maintain the health and safety of our patients and employees by eliminating potential exposure.
We are privileged and grateful to continue to serve our patients at this time of need. By operating safely and effectively now, we are confident the future will be bright for all of our patients, referring community members, and our CMI family of employees.
Warm Regards,
Mark D. Baganz, M.D.
